Reviews and Awards for Encore Theatre
2012 Pantomime a hit!
Our 2012 panto Cinders was a huge success with bumper crowds and followed our 2010 panto Jack and His Amazing Multi-Coloured Beanstalk and Aladdin in 2011. Cinders played to hundreds of happy children and their delighted parents and grandparents. Congratulations to all involved in what will hopefully become a regular date in the Encore playbill.

Wit is a hit!
Our hugely successful production drew rave reviews.
In some 40 years of theatre-going, I cannot recall such a demanding and emotional role being so well served and here I include theatre at all levels from amateur to professional - and I think that on the night viewed the audience, like myself, were in awe of the quality and range of Juliet Hayday's performance. So for me, seeing Vicki Smith's excellent and honest production of Wit for Encore Theatre Company, whilst a gut-wrenching night at the theatre, I felt privileged to see a performance of such quality, although I must admit (like quite a few others) that I nearly lost it at the end.
Carolyn Gunn Curtain Up
This is, for the most part, an intelligent and uncompromising play. It creates the kind of haunting, poignant, absorbing and provocative experience that is the very essence of what the theatre should be. Regardless of subject matter, no apologies should ever be made for creating excellent theatre.
